Important Update to Walk-in Centre Opening Hours and Service Changes Effective from 14 April 2025

We would like to inform the public that starting from 14 April 2025, the Walk-in Centre’s opening hours will be changing. Our new opening hours will be from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (previously 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM). Although we are reducing our service by two hours per day, we will still be open every day as usual.

The Walk-in phlebotomy service will remain the same – Monday-Friday 8:30 AM -12:30 PM.

As part of the ongoing changes to our services, we will also be transitioning to a Nurse-Led Service over the next three months. During this time, a doctor will remain on site for parts of the day, but once we have moved to a Nurse-Led Service (likely from 14 July 2025) there will be no GP provision available at the Walk-in Centre. As a result of these changes, we have an important message for parents and guardians of children aged 1 and under. Please note that from 14 April 2025, the Walk-in Centre will no longer be able see and treat any children aged 1 and under. Instead, they will need to visit their GP, A&E, or Out of Hours services for care.

Due to ongoing financial challenges, the NHS is facing significant pressure, and services are being required to operate with less funding. These changes are intended to ensure we continue providing safe and high-quality care within the financial limits allocated to us. Additionally, please note that the Walk-in Centre service is currently part of a public consultation led by the ICB.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us
